  1. 04-08-2019 : Prof. H S Bhatia, Chairman, IETE Bangalore inaugurated IETE Students Forum at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore. Prof. C Murali was the guest of honor and delivered the technical talk on Latest trends on 5G. Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Head of the department proposed vote of thanks.

  2. 11-08-2019 : Ms. Ashika Naidu, CAIR, DRDO, Bangalore deliver a technical talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore

  3. 28-08-2019 : Sri. Malhar Deshpande conducted one day hands on workshop on Embedded Systems & Design at Reva University for the benefits of students community and faculty members.

  4. 30-08-2019 : Prof. C Murali deliver a technical talk on IntelligentConnectivity - The fusion of 5G, AI and IoT at Sairam Engineering College, Anekal.

  5. 12-09-2019 : Prof. C Murali delivered a technical talk on ‘Intelligent Connectivity-The fusion of 5G, AI and IoT’ at RIT,Bengaluru.

  6. 14-10-2019 : IETE Student Forum (ISF) was opened at Dr.T.Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, KGF. Shri. C Satyanandan Hon. Secretary who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the ISF. He explained the benefits that students who become members enjoy and gave details of the activities of IETE Bangalore. He invited students and Faculty members to attend all programs conducted by the Bangalore Centre. Prof. C Murali Past Vice President IETE and Guest of Honour gave a Technical Talk on ‘Emerging trends in E & C for a better tomorrow’. Principal Dr. Ariff, Dean of Administration Dr. Rukmani Divakaran, and HoD ECE Dr. Palaniswamy participated.

  7. 20-10-2019 : A One-Day workshop on “Machine Learning and its Applications” was organized by IETE Bangalore and International Micro Electronics Packing (IMAPS), India Chapter in association with Dept. of Electronics & Communications, Ramaiah institute of technology, Bangalore on 20th October 2019 at RIT Campus. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Bhatia, Chairman, IETE, Bangalore, Dr. M.H Kori, Chairman, IMAPS, India Chapter, Dr. S SethuSelvi, HOD, Dept of EC, RIT, Bangalore, Dr Ashok Rao, Former Professor, IISc, Bangalore, Dr. C.G. Raghavendra, EC member, IETE, Bangalore and Shri. K. Sreedarshan, Assistant Professor, Dept of EC, RIT, Bangalore. The workshop was focused on training students, faculty and industry experts working in the area of Machine learning. Students & Faculty from Engineering Colleges of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and Industry participated.During the inauguration, Prof Bhaita talked about effective mutual learning and knowledge sharing. Dr M.H Kori, spoke on the importance of Machine learning, also relating it cosmology and radio astronomy. The signals which are received from outer space had to be eventually processed and hence processing is of prime importance. He stressed on how interlinking of technologies is important for effective solutions. Interfacing with the help of sensors in mobiles, development of smart cities will lay focus on signal processing. Signal acquisition which requires a strong background of mathematics along with signal storage and processing will indeed be challenging. Sri Dr. C.G. Raghavendra, EC Member, Bangalore Centre and Shri.K. Sreedarshan, Assistant Professor, Dept of EC, RIT, Bangalore were instrumental in organizing the workshop

  8. 22-10-2019 : Prof. C Murali was the resource person for the open course on ‘Electronic fundamentals as applicable to Industrial needs’ at BMS Institute of Technology & Management, Bengaluru.

  9. 04-11-2019 : Prof. C Murali delivered a technical talk on ‘Wireless Generations’ at RNSIT, Bengaluru.

  10. 19-11-2019 : Computer Science branch of Sri. Venkateswara College of Engineering organized one day awareness program on AI & ML for Social benefits. Dr. M H Kori was the speaker.

  11. 03 Feb 2020 to 05 Feb 2020 : IETE –Students Forum (ISF) of Sambhram Institute of Technology in association with Department of ECE and M/s. Advanced Electro systems Bangaluru is organized three days FDP on Microcontroller and Embedded system-ARM7TDMI / LPC2148 from 3rd to 5th Feb. 2020 The Chief guest and resource person was Prof. Harish V Mekali, Assistant Professor, BMSCE, Presided by Dr. C V Ravishankar, HOD-ECE. The hands-on sessions focused on ARM7TDMI / LPC2148 kits carried out by Mr. Raghavendra from Advanced Electronic Systems Bangalore, around 50 faculty members are attended from different colleges and the FDP is coordinated by Prof. Anupama and Prof. Trupti.

  12. 7th & 8th Feb. 2020 : Sambhram Institute of Technology, Department of ECE in association with IETE Bangalore organized two days FDP on Research Database Management and Software Tools on 7th& 8th Feb 2020. The Chief Guest was Sri. B N Jagannatha Rao, Hon. Treasurer, IETE Bengaluru and Former Scientist U R Rao Satellite Centre Bengaluru. The Resource Person was Dr. C S Ramesh. Dean, Research & Innovation Presidency University Bengaluru, Presided by Dr. C V Ravishankar, HOD-ECE. The hands-on sessions focused on how to write Research Papers and Thesis using research Database Software tools like Mendeley, Endnote, Publish or perish, Mathtype, Microsoft Visio, Downloading Papers and Plagiarism checking etc. Carried out by Prof. Ezhilarasan K and Dr. C Rangaswamy. 45 faculty members and research scholars were attended from different colleges.

  13. 13-02-2020 : IETE – Students Forum (ISF) of Sambhram Institute of Technology in support of EFY –Bangalore conducted Guest Lecture by Mr. Anand Tambuli ,who is Prolific writer and award winning author of Two books ( Two books published and two books are shortly getting released),Entrepreneur, Technology consultant andin 2019 IoT Hub Australia nominated him for the "IoT Pioneer" award. who is currently based in Australia.The Program attended by around 300 students and 70 faculty members. Mr. Anand Tambuli is welcomed and honored by Dr.Ravishankar.C.V., Professor & HOD-ECE.

  14. 15-02-2020 : IETE Student Day was celebrated at IETE Bengaluru Centre on Saturday, 15th Feb 2020.The inaugural session started at 2 pm with a welcome address by Prof. CV Ravishankar, Member Executive Committee. Shri. Satyanandan Hon. Secretary read out the Student Day Message from Dr. J W Wakal President IETE. Dr. MH Kori DFIETE gave a brief introduction to the Student Day and Prof. GK Venkatesh Member Executive Committee announced the program in detail. Prof. HS Bhatia Chairman gave a short Presidential Address.

    The first item in the program was a Quiz competition in which groups of students from various engineering colleges took part. Questions on Electronics, Computer Science and Information Science as well as General Knowledge comprised the Quiz.

    The second was a 'Pick & Speak' Competition. Students picked topics at random and spoke on them.Prof. G K Venkatesh was the moderator of the competitions. At the end of the program certificates and prizes were distributed to the participants and the winners by the Chairman and other Members. Sri. C Satyanandan proposed the vote of thanks.

    The whole program was compered and conducted by student volunteers assisted by IETE Bangalore staff.

  15. 15-02-2020 : The IETE –Student Forum (ISF) of Sambhram Institute of Technology, In association with Dept of ECE with the help of Dr. C.V.Ravishankar, HOD-ECE, arranged an Industry visit to Airforce Electronics Training Institute at Jalahalli East, Airforce, Bangalore. Around 85 students from IETE-SAIT students & VI Semester, ECE students along with four Faculty members coordinated by Dr. Rangaswamy.C. visited on 15-02-2020 between 9am to 1pm. The students and faculty updated about latest technologies related equipment’s, instruments etc

  16. 20-02-2020 : Indian Airforce Technical College, Jalahalli West, Bangalore invited IETE Bangalore team on 20th Feb 2020 for motivational at their premises. Dr. M H Kori, DF delivered the same and clarify the doubts of their technical executives.

  17. 22-02-2020 : Sri. C Satyanandan, Hon. Secretary delivered a talk about IETE at NMIT, Bangalore. He spoke about benefits of ISF and explained in details through PPT presentation. It was motivational talk and clarify their doubts and simplified.

  18. 27-02-2020 : Prof. C Murali, Former Vice-President, IETE delivered a technical talk on “IoT for Tomorrow” at presidency University. Sri. C Satyanandan, Hon. Secretary delivered a Motivational talk and explained them how to open an ISF chapter in Presidency University. Dr. Shilpa Mehta, head of the department, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department proposed the vote of thanks.

  19. 28-02-2020 : Prof. C Murali, Former Vice President, IETE attended a meeting at Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, MVJ College of Engineering, White Field, Bangalore.

  20. 29-02-2020 : Prof. H S Bhatia, Chairman, IETE Bangalore attended a meeting at Computer Science Engineering Department meeting, MVJ College of Engineering, White Field, Bangalore.

  21. 08-03-2020 : Second Batch of Practical Oriented course on MATLAB/SIMULINK started from Sunday, 08th March 2020 by Dr. Shivaprasad Yadav, MSRIT, Bangalore for Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) executives. Sri. C P Dwivedi, Vice-Chairman, IETE Bangalore is the Course Director for the same.
